1967 Chevelle “MALIBLU” SS

MALIBLU is our in-house A-body test car – classic ’67 Chevelle lines with late-model power, 6-speed, and a full Fesler interior. This is where we prove our Chevelle flush glass, interior pieces, and detail parts before they land on customer cars.

Platform: 1967 Chevelle SS (A-body)
Powertrain: Whipple-supercharged 6.0L with Tremec Magnum 6-speed

Build Story

Pro-touring Chevelle with real street manners

MALIBLU takes everything people love about a ’67 Chevelle and layers on modern tech – boost, overdrive, and a full custom cabin – without losing the classic feel.

Under the hood, MALIBLU runs a Whipple-supercharged 6.0L GM hot cam engine backed by a Tremec Magnum 6-speed. The goal is simple: instant torque, highway-friendly gearing, and a package that’s happy at a track day or headed to a cruise night.

Chassis, braking, and stance are tuned to match. Big Baer brakes, quality suspension, and properly spec’d rolling stock keep the car planted without beating you up on real roads.

  • Whipple-blown 6.0L GM hot cam engine with Holley EFI
  • Tremec Magnum 6-speed for serious highway and street use
  • Baer brakes and Schott wheels for braking and presence
  • Fesler interior package set up for long-distance comfort
Interior & Details

Fesler interior, glass, and cabin hardware

Inside the car is where a lot of our development happens – glass fitment, panel alignment, gauge layout, and comfort all get hammered out here first.

MALIBLU is set up around a full Fesler interior: dash overlay, door panels, console layout, and supporting hardware. It’s built to feel modern without losing the Chevelle’s original character, so nothing looks out of place when you open the door.

  • Fesler dash, door panels, and interior trim built as a cohesive package
  • Flush-mount glass test-fit for even reveals and a clean, trimless look
  • Gauge layout planned around Dakota Digital clusters and clean wiring runs
  • Seating position, pedal feel, and cabin noise tuned for long-haul use

FAQs

Common questions about the MALIBLU build

Is MALIBLU built as a show car or a driver?

Both. The car is finished at a high level for shows, but everything from the drivetrain to the interior layout is spec’d so the owner can actually rack up miles.

Can you build my Chevelle with a similar setup?

Yes. Every project is spec’d around your goals and budget, but we can use this car as a baseline for power level, suspension, and interior direction – or take it even further.

Do I have to use all Fesler parts on my build?

No. We strongly recommend our glass and interior components because we know how they fit, but we regularly integrate outside suspension, engine, and braking packages.

How do I start a Chevelle project with Fesler?

Hit the contact button, tell us about your car, and share a rough vision – show-only, pro-touring, cruiser, or something in between. From there we’ll talk through scope, timeline, and budget.
