Fesler Flush-Mount D.O.T. glass gives first-gen hardtop Chevelles a modern, trim-delete look with OE-level fit. Each piece is prototype-built, molded, test-fit, manufactured, and test-fit again on multiple vehicles to ensure accuracy—delivering a clean, even gap around the opening and a bonded, weather-tight install.

“Fesler glass does not require sanding to fit.” Competitors often have overseas factories make stock glass “a few inches bigger all around.” Fesler prototypes, molds, test-fits, manufactures, and re-tests to ensure an accurate fit. If sanding is being used to make the glass fit, the opening is likely out of spec or the glass was not made correctly. You get what you pay for.

Fitment

  • Application: 1966–1967 Chevelle 2-door hardtop.
  • Will not fit: 2-door sedan, convertible, or El Camino.
  • Also compatible: 1966–1967 Pontiac GTO (2-door hardtop).

Painted-car examples: The maroon and blue Chevelle shown were finished cars with no added body work for the glass. If your shell has prior metal work or non-OE geometry, a professional may need to address the opening during bodywork for a perfect result. We recommend test-fitting glass during the bodywork stage.

What is flush-mount glass?

A precisely sized glass sits within the OE opening with a tight, uniform reveal. It eliminates exterior trim and rubber weatherstrip and bonds in with an automotive FRIT band, primer, and high-strength urethane, producing an OE-style fit with no body modifications on most vehicles.

Manufacturing pedigree

  • North American made using the original Float Glass Process (Pilkington lineage).
  • Side glass produced with OE-style LOF molds for factory-grade geometry.
  • Correct green OE hue that helps block 99.9% UVA (Skin Cancer Foundation recognized).
  • Laminated safety windshield; tempered rear glass—just like modern vehicles.

  • Install materials not included: primer, urethane, and tools are supplied by your installer.

  • Non-returnable: If it doesn’t fit out of the crate, your vehicle may require body work (this is common on some reproduction shells, e.g., Dynacorn).
  • Professional installation is highly recommended for safety and longevity.
  • Authorization: All glass orders require a signed Credit Card Authorization Form. We do not charge until the order is ready to ship.
  • Typical ship window: ~15–20 business days after we receive your signed form.

Safety & adhesive guidance

Your windshield is a structural safety component. Do not use butyl (~60 psi). Professional automotive urethanes (~600 psi) are required for a safe, long-term bond and proper sealing. Improper adhesives can lead to leaks, wind noise, or personal injury in a collision.
