1967–1968 Ford Mustang — DOT-Certified Flush-Mount Trimless Glass Kit (Front & Rear) — American-Made

American-made quality: Designed, prototyped, molded, and manufactured in North America for OE-plus geometry, clarity, and fit.

Fesler Flush-Mount DOT glass gives 1967–1968 Mustangs a modern trim-delete look with OE-level fit. Each piece is prototype-built, molded, test-fit, manufactured, and test-fit again on multiple vehicles to deliver a clean, even gap and a bonded, weather-tight install.

NO SANDING REQUIRED TO FIT. Some brands have factories make stock glass “a few inches larger” and expect you to sand. Fesler prototypes, molds, test-fits, manufactures, and test-fits again so your glass fits as delivered. Remember: you get what you pay for.

Why Fesler flush glass

  • True flush-mount design: Purpose-sized glass bonds within the OE aperture with a tight, uniform reveal.
  • Trimless, rubberless perimeter: Uses a FRIT band + primer + automotive urethane — no exterior molding.
  • Manufacturing pedigree: Float-glass lineage (Pilkington heritage) and LOF-style mold strategy for curvature accuracy and edge quality.
  • Optics & protection: OE-style green hue; laminated windshield and tempered rear help block 99.9% UVA.

Polycarbonate vs. Laminated Automotive Glass — Read Before You Buy

Polycarbonate (“plastic”) windshields

  • Not DOT-approved for public roadsnot street legal for windshields.
  • Prone to scratching, hazing, yellowing, and heat distortion; wipers can mar the surface.
  • Okay for track/off-road/display where permitted, but not recommended for street builds.
  • Potential insurance and safety concerns in a collision.

Laminated automotive glass (Fesler)

  • DOT-approved laminated windshield for legal street use; tempered rear glass.
  • Safety & clarity: resists penetration; remains intact under impact; superior day/night visibility.
  • Durability: far better scratch/UV resistance for a view that stays clear.
  • Model-specific fit for a clean, uniform reveal with our flush-bond system.

Fitment & inclusions

  • Fits: 1967–1968 Ford Mustang Fastback and Coupe.
  • Kit: Laminated windshield (front) + tempered rear glass.
  • Not included: adhesives, primers, clips/trim (not required), or installation labor.

What is flush-mount glass?

Precisely sized glass sits within the OE opening with a tight, uniform reveal. It eliminates exterior trim and rubber weatherstrip and bonds in with an automotive FRIT band, primer, and high-strength urethane, producing an OE-style fit with no body modifications on most vehicles.

Important: Glass is non-returnable. If it doesn’t fit out of the crate, your vehicle may require body work. This is more common on certain reproduction bodies (e.g., Dynacorn). Decide whether you’re willing to perform this work before purchasing.

Shipping, billing & timing

  • Ships via LTL truck freight due to size/weight (commercial address recommended for cost and ease).
  • Freight is quoted individually after checkout; use our carrier or yours. International freight available (including Canada & Mexico).
  • Authorization: All glass orders require a signed Credit Card Authorization Form. We do not charge until the order is ready to ship.
  • Typical ship window: ~15–20 business days after we receive your signed form.

Installation & safety

  • Professional installation only: We do not endorse DIY flush-glass installs. Use a certified auto-glass technician.
  • Adhesive: Use automotive urethane with proper primers. Do not use butyl (~60 psi vs. ~600+ psi urethane systems).
  • Test-fit policy: Test fit within 60 days of receipt to identify any vehicle issues requiring body work. Warranty/replacement is not available after 60 days.
FAQs

Do I need to modify the body?
Typically no on correctly prepared OE shells. Reproduction bodies may need metal work to meet proper glass geometry.

Is exterior trim required?
No. The bonded FRIT/urethane system provides the finished perimeter. Keep the reveal clean and uniform for best appearance.

Is this heated or sensor glass?
Classic construction: laminated windshield and tempered rear. Transfer OE accessories as applicable to your build.
