In Stock & Shipping Now. Built, inspected, packaged, and shipped from our Phoenix shop.

The Fesler USA 1969 Camaro fiberglass dash cluster insert is the gauge panel that drops directly into the Fesler dash overlay. Hand-laid in Phoenix, this insert carries your gauge cluster in the upper section and gives you a clean lower section to run switches, a radio, vents, or nothing at all. Upper panel measures 23.5 inches wide by 6.3 inches tall — enough real estate for a full Dakota Digital spread or your own custom gauge arrangement. Pairs with the Fesler dash overlay for a purpose-built cockpit, and also fits the 1968, 1969, 1970, 1971, and 1972 Nova with minimal trimming. Can also be run on the factory 1969 Camaro dash with a customer-fabricated close-out panel.

23.5" × 6.3" UPPER GAUGE SECTION. CONFIGURABLE LOWER SECTION.
HAND-LAID IN PHOENIX. BUILT TO WORK WITH THE FESLER ECOSYSTEM.

Fesler can install your gauges and cut your accessory openings for you.

Order the insert with or without gauges. If you need help with the install, we can mount your gauge package before the panel ships. We can also cut any custom accessory openings you want in the lower section. Contact us to discuss your build before ordering.

Why builders choose the Fesler cluster insert

  • Hand-laid fiberglass construction: Every insert is built, inspected, and finished in our Phoenix shop. Not injection-molded. Not sourced overseas.
  • Purpose-built for the Fesler dash overlay: Drops directly into the Fesler 1969 Camaro dash overlay for a clean, integrated cockpit. No fabrication required when the two are used together.
  • Wide upper gauge section: 23.5 inches wide by 6.3 inches tall. Fits Dakota Digital multi-gauge packages, custom aftermarket clusters, or your own gauge arrangement.
  • Configurable lower section: Use it for headlight switches, wiper controls, radio, billet AC vents, or keep it clean. Fesler can pre-cut openings before the panel ships.
  • Nova crossover fitment: Fits the 1968, 1969, 1970, 1971, and 1972 Nova with minimal trimming alongside the Fesler dash overlay.
  • Gauge install service available: Order with gauges and we can mount them in-house before the panel ships.

Read this before you wrap.

Wrapping the cluster insert is not recommended unless both the dash overlay and the insert are test-fit together first and the thickness of your wrap material is accounted for on both pieces. These panels are designed to be used with the dash wrapped in leather and the insert painted. Wrapping the insert without considering material thickness against the dash opening will cause fit problems. Test-fit before your upholstery shop touches either piece.

What's included

  • One (1) hand-laid fiberglass dash cluster insert, smooth gel-coat finish
  • All hardware required for installation

Available via drop-down or by contacting us: Dakota Digital gauge packages (multiple configurations available), Fesler billet AC vents, gauge installation service, and custom accessory cutout service.

Not included: Fesler dash overlay (sold separately), paint finish, gauges (unless added), or close-out panel for factory dash applications.

Important: This panel is not sold painted or upholstered.

It is the customer's responsibility to fit and paint this panel to match their interior. See wrapping guidance above before sending to your upholstery shop. Professional installation is recommended.

Fitment

  • Primary application — with Fesler dash overlay: Drops directly into the Fesler 1969 Camaro dash overlay (sold separately) with no modification required. This is the intended and cleanest installation path.
  • Factory 1969 Camaro dash: This insert can be run on the factory dash, as shown in product photos. A close-out panel is required to finish the gap between the insert and factory dash. Fesler does not currently offer that close-out panel. It is a straightforward fabrication in metal or fiberglass.
  • Nova fitment: Fits the 1968, 1969, 1970, 1971, and 1972 Chevrolet Nova with minimal trimming alongside the Fesler dash overlay. Produces a finished cockpit look completely unlike any stock Nova interior.
  • Other dashes: This insert can be adapted to work with other dash setups. Modification will be required depending on the application. Contact us to discuss your specific configuration before ordering.

Nova builders: pair this insert with the Fesler Nova dash overlay for a complete, cohesive cockpit.

The insert fits the 1968, 1969, 1970, 1971, and 1972 Nova with very little trimming when used alongside the Fesler dash overlay. Both pieces were designed to work together on the Nova platform.

Gauge options

The upper section of this insert measures 23.5 inches wide by 6.3 inches tall and accommodates a wide range of gauge packages. Fesler has several Dakota Digital configurations that fit this insert directly. You can also run your own custom gauge setup.

  • Fesler can cut openings to your spec before shipping

Installation

  • Install time: Approximately one hour to trim and test-fit on a standard application. Relatively straightforward install for anyone comfortable with fiberglass.
  • With Fesler dash overlay: Drops directly in. No additional fabrication required on a standard Camaro application.
  • With factory 1969 Camaro dash: Panel fits but a close-out panel is required to finish the gap. Customer fabricates that piece in metal or fiberglass. Fesler does not currently offer a close-out panel.
  • Wrapping: Do not wrap this insert without first test-fitting both the insert and the dash overlay together and accounting for material thickness. Designed to pair with a wrapped dash and a painted insert.
  • Gauge install: Fesler can mount your gauge package and cut your accessory openings before the panel ships. Contact us before ordering to arrange.
  • Professional installation recommended, particularly for gauge wiring, accessory integration, and final upholstery fitment on the dash overlay.

Shipping

  • Inspected, finished, packaged, and shipped in-house from Phoenix, Arizona.
  • If ordering with gauge installation or custom cutouts, lead time will apply. Contact us before ordering to confirm timeline.

Frequently asked questions

Does this require the Fesler dash overlay?

No. This insert is designed to pair with the Fesler dash overlay (sold separately) for the cleanest installation, but it can also be run on the factory 1969 Camaro dash. On a factory dash application, a close-out panel is required to finish the gap between the insert and the factory structure. That close-out panel is not currently available from Fesler but is a straightforward fabrication in metal or fiberglass.

Will this fit a 1968–1972 Nova?

Yes. This insert fits the 1968, 1969, 1970, 1971, and 1972 Chevrolet Nova with very little trimming alongside the Fesler dash overlay. Both pieces were designed to work together on the Nova platform for a complete, cohesive cockpit.

What are the gauge opening dimensions?

The upper gauge section measures 23.5 inches wide by 6.3 inches tall. This accommodates Dakota Digital multi-gauge packages and a wide range of aftermarket cluster setups. Contact us with your gauge dimensions before ordering to confirm fitment.

Can Fesler install the gauges before shipping?

Yes. Order the insert with your gauge package and we can mount them in-house before the panel ships. We can also cut custom accessory openings in the lower section to your spec. Contact us before ordering to discuss your build and arrange the work.

Can I wrap the insert to match a wrapped dash?

Wrapping is not recommended unless both the insert and dash overlay are test-fit together first and the thickness of your wrap material is accounted for on both pieces. These panels are designed to be used with the dash wrapped in leather and the insert painted. Wrapping the insert without accounting for material thickness will cause fit issues between the two panels.

What can go in the lower section?

The lower section can house headlight switches, wiper controls, radio openings, billet AC vents, or any accessory layout you design. It can also be left clean with no cutouts. Fesler can cut any opening to spec before the panel ships — contact us before ordering to arrange custom lower section work.

Materials
What you wrap it in.
Premium leather Automotive vinyl Alcantara / suede Painted or textured
Panels are built with smooth faces and strong edges so your upholsterer can wrap in leather, vinyl, suede or even paint and texture without fighting thin lips or odd shapes.
Color & layout
How the interior reads at a glance.
Two-tone breaks OEM-style neutrals High-contrast accents Color-matched inserts
Clean lines and defined sections make it easy to run OEM-style neutrals, loud show-car combos or simple two-tone layouts that still look intentional.
Stitching
Patterns and thread choices.
Contrast stitching Diamond patterns Pleats & horizontals Logo embroidery zones
Stitching lanes and flat pads are built into the design, so diamonds, pleats and simple contrast lines stay even from side to side instead of wandering.
Details
The small stuff that makes it yours.
Billet trim & pulls Perforated inserts Embossed logos Audio & lighting zones
Each system leaves room for badges, perforated or embossed inserts, billet pieces, speakers and lighting so you can tie the interior back to the wheels, paint and engine bay.
