1975–1981 Chevrolet Camaro Second Gen — Molded Cut Pile Carpet Kit — Two-Piece Set — Made by Auto Custom Carpets (ACC)

Made to Order in the USA. Typically ships in 1–3 business days depending on color and production volume.

Important: This kit ships as two pieces.

The 1975–1981 second-gen Camaro carpet kit is a two-piece set. Product photos may show a one-piece kit — that does not reflect how this kit ships. Two pieces is standard across the industry for this platform and installs the same way. Both pieces are included in your order.

Fits: 1975, 1976, 1977, 1978, 1979, 1980, and 1981 Chevrolet Camaro — late second generation F-body, factory floor layout.

Cars with heavily modified tunnels or custom floors may require additional trimming. See fitment notes below.

The Fesler / ACC 1975–1981 Camaro molded carpet kit is a vehicle-specific, CAD-cut cut pile carpet set built to the late second-gen F-body floor layout. This is not a universal flat roll — it is a molded kit that fits the transmission tunnel, toe boards, and footwells the way factory carpet does. Offered by Fesler alongside the fiberglass interior components that finish the build. Available in standard or Mass Back backing and a range of period-correct colors.

Why builders choose the Fesler / ACC carpet kit

  • Vehicle-specific molded pattern: CAD-cut and molded to the 1975–1981 Camaro F-body floor. Fits the transmission tunnel, toe boards, and footwells the way factory carpet does — not a universal flat roll that requires heavy trimming.
  • Two-piece kit: Ships as two pieces — standard for this platform across the industry. Both pieces are included and install together for full floor coverage.
  • Made by Auto Custom Carpets (ACC): ACC is a leading US manufacturer of vehicle-specific replacement carpet. Made to order in the USA.
  • Standard or Mass Back: Choose the backing that matches your build — lightweight standard or noise-and-heat-reducing Mass Back.
  • Color options: Available in a range of period-correct cut pile colors to match your seats, dash, and panels.
  • Offered by Fesler: Paired alongside the fiberglass door panels, dash overlays, and interior components that complete the build.

Material: cut pile

This kit uses cut pile carpet — a plush, refined option for late second-gen Camaro interiors. Cut pile gives the floor a soft, premium texture, holds up well on a car that actually gets driven, and is easy to vacuum and keep clean. Looks correct. Feels great. Lasts.

Backing options: Standard vs Mass Back

Standard Backing

  • Lighter weight — OEM-style feel
  • Good for weekend cruisers, race builds, and weight-conscious projects
  • Ideal when you already have separate sound deadener or thermal mat on the floor
  • Closest to factory carpet construction

Mass Back

  • Dense rubberized layer bonded to underside
  • Reduces road noise, exhaust drone, and floor heat
  • Better highway and hot-weather comfort
  • Premium underfoot feel for daily-driven and resto-mod builds

Simple rule: Choose Standard if you want lightweight and an original-style feel. Choose Mass Back if you want a quieter, cooler cabin with a more premium underfoot feel.

Color options

Available in a range of period-correct cut pile colors for the late second-gen Camaro interior — including black, red, blue, green, tan, brown, and other common F-body shades (subject to current availability). Select your color at checkout.

Installation overview

  • Remove seats, sill plates, lower trim, and seat belts. Keep all hardware organized.
  • Pull the old carpet and padding. Vacuum and inspect the bare floor.
  • Treat any surface rust and seal bare metal before the new kit goes in.
  • Test-fit the molded carpet and let it relax. Use the tunnel and footwells to align both pieces.
  • Trim slowly around shifters, pedals, seat mounts, and console. Small, careful cuts only.
  • Reinstall trim, belts, and seats once the carpet is fully seated and aligned.

Modified floors and tunnels:

This kit is molded to the factory F-body floor layout. Mild upgrades like aftermarket shifters or different seats typically require only careful trimming. Cars with major tunnel modifications or custom floors may need additional work beyond the kit.

Shipping

  • Made to order in the USA by Auto Custom Carpets. Typically ships in 1–3 business days depending on color and production volume.
  • Cars, Blazers, and four-door trucks: shipping typically around $150.
  • Trucks: shipping typically around $75.
  • Final shipping cost is calculated at checkout and may vary based on destination and order contents.

Frequently asked questions

Does this kit come as one piece or two pieces?

This kit ships as two pieces. Product photos may show a one-piece kit — that does not reflect how this kit ships. Two pieces is the industry standard for the 1975–1981 second-gen Camaro platform. Both pieces are included in your order and install together for full floor coverage.

Why choose molded carpet over a universal roll?

A molded, vehicle-specific carpet kit fits tighter, looks more factory, and saves significant time compared with trimming a universal flat roll. The difference is most noticeable around the transmission tunnel, toe boards, and under the seats — areas where universal carpet never lays flat without heavy trimming and compromise.

Will this fit a modified 1975–1981 Camaro?

The kit is molded to the factory late second-gen Camaro floorpan. Mild upgrades like aftermarket shifters or different seats typically require only careful trimming during installation. Cars with major tunnel modifications or custom floors may need additional custom work on top of the kit.

Do I still need sound deadener with Mass Back?

Mass Back adds a substantial sound and heat barrier under the carpet. You can add more deadener if you want an especially quiet cabin, but avoid stacking so much material that the carpet becomes difficult to seat around brackets and mounts.

Can I order a different material, color, or configuration?

This listing covers cut pile material in the most common 1975–1981 Camaro colors and configurations. Through ACC, Fesler can often source alternate patterns, additional flooring options, floor mats, trunk mats, and sound deadening products. Contact us with your year, body style, and interior configuration before ordering if you have a non-standard setup.

Interior systems that feel engineered, not improvised.

Every Fesler kit starts as a CAD model and is built in fiberglass with a smooth gel-coat finish. Panels follow the body lines, gaps stay tight, and there is room for stitching, billet trim, audio, and screens without hacking the car apart.

If you are finishing a full build and want the cockpit to match the level of the paint, stance, and drivetrain, this is where you start.

Custom upholstery & finishes

If you can dream it, you can build it around these parts.

Fesler fiberglass and steel pieces are the structure. Your choice of leather, vinyl, colors and stitching is what turns them into a one-off interior that matches the rest of the build.

Materials
What you wrap it in.
Premium leather Automotive vinyl Alcantara / suede Painted or textured
Panels are built with smooth faces and strong edges so your upholsterer can wrap in leather, vinyl, suede or even paint and texture without fighting thin lips or odd shapes.
Color & layout
How the interior reads at a glance.
Two-tone breaks OEM-style neutrals High-contrast accents Color-matched inserts
Clean lines and defined sections make it easy to run OEM-style neutrals, loud show-car combos or simple two-tone layouts that still look intentional.
Stitching
Patterns and thread choices.
Contrast stitching Diamond patterns Pleats & horizontals Logo embroidery zones
Stitching lanes and flat pads are built into the design, so diamonds, pleats and simple contrast lines stay even from side to side instead of wandering.
Details
The small stuff that makes it yours.
Billet trim & pulls Perforated inserts Embossed logos Audio & lighting zones
Each system leaves room for badges, perforated or embossed inserts, billet pieces, speakers and lighting so you can tie the interior back to the wheels, paint and engine bay.
Work with your upholsterer or builder to spec materials, colors and stitching around your Fesler interior kit.
