How to Receive and Inspect Your Fesler Glass Shipment the Right Way
Ordering glass for your classic build is exciting. Shipping large fragile parts is different from a normal delivery, so a simple plan helps. Use this guide to receive your Fesler glass with confidence and avoid surprise fees.
Before delivery day
- Delivery location: Freight carriers deliver curbside or driveway. They do not place crates inside a garage.
- Unloading plan: Glass ships in a wooden crate. If you do not have a dock or forklift, the carrier may use a liftgate. Liftgate service can add an extra charge.
- Help on hand: Have a second person available to inspect and move the crate safely.

- Inspect before signing: Check the crate for punctures, crushed corners, or broken slats.
- Document condition: Take clear photos or video at the truck. Capture all sides of the crate and any marks.
- Write notes on the paperwork: If you see damage, write it on the Bill of Lading before you sign. Keep a photo of the signed page.
- Keep all packaging: If a claim is needed, the carrier will ask for the original crate and materials.
Concealed damage
Sometimes damage is only visible after opening the crate. If you discover an issue after delivery, contact Fesler right away with photos and your order number. Carriers allow a short window for concealed damage claims, so act quickly.
Save on shipping with pickup centers
If home delivery is not ideal or liftgate fees are a concern, you can ship to a nearby freight terminal or pickup center. You can then load the crate with your own truck or trailer. This option can reduce total shipping cost and gives flexible pickup timing.
Quick checklist
- Plan space and a helper before the truck arrives
- Inspect the crate closely at delivery and take photos
- Note any damage on the delivery paperwork before you sign
- Keep the crate and packing until you confirm the glass is perfect
- Contact Fesler immediately if you find concealed damage
